The SNAP-Ed Program promotes nutrition education and healthy eating, helping educate our residents and recipients on the benefits of making healthy choices. Healthy eating and proper nutrition is integral to ensuring a healthier community which is key to ending the cycle of hunger.
The goal of the Healthy Food Pantry Initiative is to work with food pantries and the community, to encourage the availability of healthier options and to make the healthier choices the easier choices in food pantries.
Kid CHEF (Cooking Healthy, Easy Food) is a skills- and knowledge-building program that focuses on teaching children about healthy eating and how to prepare nutritious, easy foods on their own.
