WIC Learning Online (WLOL), a series of free online courses designed to train all levels of WIC staff. These courses are custom-made, developed specifically for WIC staff.

Early Childhood Physical Activity for Toddlers and Preschoolers is a one-hour, interactive web-based training designed to explore how young children benefit from structured physical activities and develop a wide range of movement skills through active play.

Online learning courses cover a variety of topics related to food and nutrition. Most courses are available for a small fee.

Reviews research on measurement/prevalence of food insecurity, household coping strategies, health consequences for children, and intervention tools that may be used in health clinics and other settings.

EatSmart is organized into six sections: Basic Nutrition, The Nutrients, Stretching Your Food Dollars, Nutrition & Chronic Disease, Nutrition & the Life Cycle and Food Safety. Each lesson includes pre and post-tests.

This recorded webinar (length 2 hours) will discuss the application of trauma-informed principles to clinical, counseling, and community dietetic work.  We will introduce trauma and its biological impacts and will discuss the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) principles of trauma-informed care.  These principles include safety and transparency, empowerment, voice and choice, and peer support.
