Across Virginia, SNAP-Ed helps promote SNAP match programs at SNAP-accepting farmers markets. To do this, Virginia SNAP-Ed formed a partnership with Virginia Fresh Match and the Virginia Farmers Market Association. These collaborations contributed to increased sales and SNAP redemption at farmers markets.
Through the Husky Nutrition Programs’ Farmers' Market Education initiative, Registered Dietitians and UConn students promote the value of fresh produce. This is done by providing farmers market information and free nutrition education to Connecticut residents.

Farmers’ Market Fresh (FMF) is a social marketing campaign for limited-resource consumers at farmers’ markets. The primary goal of this program is to promote fruit and vegetable consumption through farmers’ markets that accept SNAP EBT.
