When is Zucchini in Season?

Zucchini is also called green summer squash. Choose zucchini that are small to medium and slender for the best flavor and texture. Store unwashed zucchini in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. Zucchini can be eaten raw, steamed, grilled, roasted, or sautéed. With a mild taste and texture, it can be added to a variety of dishes.

Fun fact: Thinly slice zucchini or place in a spiralizer to make zucchini noodles (zoodles), which are a great alternative to regular noodles.
