When are Plums in Season?

Fresh plums are fruits that contain a seed or pit, which is sometimes called a “stone”. Store unripe plums on a countertop in a paper bag until ripe. Once ripe, store plums in the refrigerator until ready to use. Add plums to salads, smoothies, oatmeal, and yogurt. Prunes are plums that have been dried.

Fun fact: Fresh plums come in a variety of colors - purple, reddish purple, yellow, red, green, or white.
