When are Green Beans in Season?

Green beans are also known as string beans or snap beans. The stems and strings are removed before cooking. Refrigerate green beans in an open bag and wash under running water before using. Add green beans to soups, salads, as a side dish or pickled.

Fun fact: Green beans grow in two ways – on bushes or on plants with long vines.
