When is Grapefruit in Season?
- Winter
Grapefruit are citrus fruits that grow in clusters on trees and have white, pink or red flesh. Grapefruit tastes best when stored at room temperature. Most people cut grapefruit in half and spoon out segments to eat but grapefruit can also be peeled and eaten like an orange. Add grapefruit segments to salads or yogurt or broil in the oven with a sprinkle of sugar.
Fun fact: Grapefruit are a hybrid of a pomelo and an orange.
