When are Cranberries in Season?

  • Fall

Cranberries are small, round, tart berries that are red or white. Cranberries grow on low-lying vines and when it is time to be harvested, the fields are flooded and the cranberries float to the top of the water. Refrigerate fresh cranberries for up to 2 months and rinse just before using. Add cranberries to relishes, sauces, cookies, and pies.

Fun fact: The week of Thanksgiving is the most popular time of year to consume cranberries.
