When is Cauliflower in Season?

  • Fall

Cauliflower is most commonly white in color but orange, green and purple varieties are also available. Store cauliflower in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Rinse well and cut off any dark spots before using. Cauliflower can be steamed, mashed, or grated to make cauliflower “rice.”

Fun fact: Cauliflower is white because the leaves protect it from sunlight. If it is exposed to sun, it can turn green.
