When are Brussels Sprouts in Season?

  • Fall
  • Winter

Brussels sprouts grow on tall stalks with the sprouts forming along the stem. Each sprout looks like mini cabbage. Brussels sprouts like to grow in cooler weather and are in-season in the fall and winter. They can be roasted, sautéed, or steamed. Shaved Brussels sprouts can be added to salads for an extra crunch. Uncut Brussels sprouts can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Fun fact: One stalk can produce 60 to 100 sprouts.
