When are Apples in Season?

More than 2,500 apple varieties are available in shades of red, green and yellow. Apples stored in the refrigerator ripen slower than at room temperature. Apples can be added to soups, salads and baked goods.

Fun fact: Apples are about 25% air and tend to float in water.
