The goal of this project was to engage students and teachers to utilize the garden for more than just learning about flowers by bringing the classroom outdoors to teach subjects like math and science. The garden is used throughout the school day, after school, and during the summer months by a team of enthusiastic teachers and students.

StoryWalks® are a movement and literacy project that displays a children’s book, page by page, along a community walking route. It has increased the use of walkable destinations, such as local trails, parks, and libraries. Youth and their families can enjoy great literature while exploring walking routes in their neighborhoods and communities.
