The Needs Assessment Toolkit aims to help SNAP State agencies meet program requirements and enhance their existing needs assessment capabilities. The toolkit offers suggestions to increase the diversity of voices involved throughout the needs assessment process and strategies to link needs assessment findings to State goals and SNAP-Ed programming.

Two recorded trainings are available on the SNAP-Ed Connection: SNAP-Ed Needs Assessment Webinar 1: Needs Assessment Purpose and Planning (July 2022) and SNAP-Ed Needs Assessment Webinar 2: State-Level Approach (August 2022).

An additional webinar resource is The Role of Racial Equity in SNAP-Ed Part 4: Equity Considerations for Conducting Needs Assessments developed by the ASNNA Race, Health & Social Equity Committee and the SNAP-Ed Toolkit Team (September 2022).
