This resource provides practical “how-to” information about physical activity programming. This guide is intended to assist public health professionals, community leaders, community based and similar organizations assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based physical education and physical activity programing in early child care, elementary school, middle school, high school, parks and the worksite environment. With this guide, you will find information on the sequential steps to successful physical activity program outcomes. This guide contains selective tools and techniques such as the Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance (RE-AIM) Model, how to write Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-based (SMART) Objectives and the program evaluation process. Each section features links to outside resources intended to support and assist in the programming planning process. This resource guide also provides information on “Evidence-based” and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) approved programming.
