Breastfeeding and other data is collected via a nationally representative sample of all 50 states and the District of Columbia. To maximize the sample size for state-level estimates by socio-demographic categories, 3 birth years are combined for analysis. Breastfeeding indicators are calculated by year of child's birth rather than survey year. Listed in the SNAP-Ed Evaluation Framework Interpretive Guide. Used to measure Indicator R8: Breastfeeding
