Includes four content modules and a reference section. Module 1 addresses the Dietary Guidelines, Food Guide Pyramid, nutrients and the dietary patterns of certain cultural/ethnic groups. Module 2 discusses chronic disease prevention, eating disorders and physical activity. Module 3 focuses on time management, budgeting, meal planning, food selection and preparation, and home gardening. One lesson discusses food choices for older adults, another for pregnant teenagers. Module 4 includes a food safety lessons.
