To allow the use of 24-hour food recalls in a wider range of research, investigators at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) created the Automated Self-Administered 24-hour (ASA24®) dietary recall system, a web-based tool that enables multiple, automatically coded, self-administered 24-hour recalls. The latest release, ASA24-2016, also permits researchers to collect data using single or multi-day food records, also known as food diaries. Can be used on a mobile device, smart phone, or as a food record.
